My career truly started when I enlisted as a Hospital Corpsman. For six years, I learned operational excellence and professionalism. I learned how to be a leader, a follower, and a team player. And most importantly, I learned how to adapt to any environment. I did well, quickly rising through the ranks, but I wanted something different. I separated from the Navy 14APR2021 and explored other career paths. Shortly after, I discovered the allure of software development. As an avid problem solver, it allowed me to treat each obstacle as a puzzle and an opportunity for self-improvement. I joined devCodeCamp, a coding boot camp that hosted a MERN stack Web Development program. It was tough, but it was just the first challenge on my journey. The next was finding my first job, which was the most difficult. After months of searching and hundreds of applications, I was finally received by Accenture, a wonderful organization. Here, I have been learning how to utilize my skill set to help a team deliver a product that meets and exceeds a client's expectations. The true value of my time with Accenture has been learning the functional aspects of a project. Technologies quickly change, but understanding requirements and agile methodologies will always be prevalent. Looking back at my starting point, I have grown and made tremendous strides in my career!
